Vekkarian Monk Abilities Explanations (Seeker - Levels 0-5):

The Vekkarian Monk gains abilities as he or she levels, THEY ARE NOT PURCHASED WITH MODIFICATION-POINTS. As a Seeker (0-5th level), you will have all of the following abilities, which will steadily increase over time as you level (Seeker abilities stack with Adventurer Abilities):

Vekkarian Monk will deliver a quick side strike with the blade of his or her hand. This is done by brining the hand to your own ear, as if you are trying to hear better, elbow out to the side, but not extended fully, then quickly striking the target with the blade of the hand as you move slightly to the side (left knife-hand moves left, right knife-hand moves right).

 

The technique in the movement of this strike will give you a +1 offense to strike (+1 additional offense to strike per 2 levels advanced). Ignore this bonuses if you are in "Battle-Lock", or cannot move.

Vekkarian Monk will punch the target four times with his or her fists. This is done by brining clenched fist to the side, elbows in. As each punch if delivered, turn the fist, striking with the first two knuckles of the hand, maximizing the damage of each strike.

Gives the Monk a chance to blind an opponent for a time.

Yes: If you cause maximum damage, your opponent must make a successful avoidance-roll vs. "Paralysis".

This technique is a claw strike to the face.  When this technique is used, you must strike the face.  See: "Combat, Chance to hit a certain area during:".

 

This technique causes additional damage (See: "Damage").  It also has a chance of partially blinding your opponent (See: "Avoidance-Roll").

If maximum damage is rolled, the target of Tiger Strike must make a successful avoidance-roll vs. "Paralysis", or suffer a full blinding effect (-60 defense and offense) for 1-D4 x3 turns.

Susceptibilities:

Creatures which are an eye (meaning the creature is an eye) will suffer x2 duration on blinding effect.

In the hands of the Vekkarian Monk, the following weapon(s) will inflict increased damage:

Kubaton

 

Bonus damage:

1-D4 damage (+1-D4 per 3 levels advanced).

 

At levels:   Kubaton Damage:

0 to 2 ----- : 1-D4

3 to 5 ----- : 2-D4

6 to 8 ----- : 3-D4

9 to 11 --- : 4-D4

12 to 14 - : 5-D4

 

Note:

Always combine multiple dice into the least amount of dice that can be rolled.

 

Examples:

At levels 3-5:       1-D8 instead of 2-D4.

At levels 9-11:     D12 and D4 instead of 4-D4 (unless you have a 16 sided die)

At levels 12-14:   1-D20 instead of 5-D4.

Etc.

 

Note:

Because you are a Vekkarian Monk, you do NOT need to expend the 1 modification-point to be proficient with this weapon.
